Dr. Joann Kroll Wheeler graduated Fall 2001, with a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Education Management.
Dr. Wheeler currently works as the Director for Extended Education at the Bush School of Government and Public Service, Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas. Her responsibilities include the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, budgeting, and personnel for the Bush School’s eLearning, executive education, off-campus face-to-face, and hybrid program initiatives. Additionally, Dr. Wheeler teaches online at the master’s and doctoral levels for several universities, including UWF.
Dr. Wheeler is married to Don Wheeler, a retired USAF Fighter Pilot and current Civil Air Patrol pilot. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, competition shooting, gardening, and her two miniature Yorkshire Terriers, Harry and Lucy. In 2007 she completed the 100-hour program required to become a Texas Master Gardener. Now she is working on her pilot's license and will soon be sharing those blue Texas skies with her husband.
