Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga completed her dissertation and graduated with an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology specialization, in 2007. Her research interests include serious games, simulations, and Web technologies. Dr. Prayaga has co-authored books and published articles in these areas and is currently working on grants (MRO-W, Prompt Technologies), guiding students to develop serious games.

Besides her instructional responsibilities, Dr. Prayaga is a faculty advisor for the UWF chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery for Women (ACMW), an organization for women students, faculty, and professionals in computing fields that is sponsored by ACM.
