The Office of Diversity and International Education and Programs (ODIEP) has travel monies available for multicultural/diversity training before June 1, 2012. Individuals (permanent full-time faculty or staff) selected to utilize funds (*up to $1,000) are required to present to the campus community within 12 months after completion of travel.

Those interested should submit request for funding no later than Friday-March 2 to Brenda Groat, ODIEP, Building 71, Room 115.

*Travel monies are set at $1,000 per faculty/staff selected to receive travel funding. If faculty/staff selected to receive travel funding and conference cost is less than $1,000, faculty/staff would only receive exact total cost of conference.

Criteria

• Validity of conference related to multiculturalism/diversity is required.
• Individuals who have been awarded travel sponsorship by ODIEP during the last four years are not eligible.
• Individuals requesting funding should include the following in their requests:
  • contact information (name/title/department/location/email/phone number)
  • name of conference
  • location of conference
  • dates of conference
  • brief explanation of how the conference would benefit the diversity of the campus community
  • brief explanation of how attendance to conference will contribute to the individuals discipline and tentative plans to incorporate diversity initiatives within the individuals department.
