Pamela Basham, M.A., LMHC
I feel extremely fortunate to be working for such a great university. I have been working for the Counseling Center as a part time employee since 2004 and started working fulltime in 2011. I have a passion for working with students, not only as a counselor but also as an adjunction instructor for the School of Psychological and Behavioral Sciences. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts and my Master's here at UWF.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida providing treatment to a variety of individuals of all ages and cultures with varying diagnoses. My role as a counselor is to empower individuals to solve problems that are interfering with their daily lives. The philosophy that guides my approach is the unwavering belief that people have limitless potential to heal and grow. It is my goal to help students recognize and realize their abilities. Positive change occurs through the collaborative therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client.
