Alicia Cambron
Health Coordinator
I have always had a passion for overall health and the quality of life of others. I received my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Auburn University with a minor in Business. I later received my Master's degree in Health Promotion from The University of Mississippi.
Over the past few years I have been able to work with students in many different areas ranging from weight management to violence prevention. Most recently, I served as the Violence Prevention Coordinator at The University of Mississippi where I worked with victims of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, as well as stalking. Through that experience, I realized the importance of sexual violence prevention programs on college campuses. I believe that violence is unacceptable and that we as a college community will work to end violence.
My other passion is sexual health. I have had the opportunity to work with high school and college students on improving their understanding of safe sex practices. I believe that sexual health includes not only a lack of disease, but a positive approach to sexuality and sexual relationships. I am happy to be working with the Peer Educators and excited about bringing programs to the student population.
