Step 1: Explore

Is this the right major for me?

Choosing or changing a major can be one of the most challenging decisions a student will make while pursuing educational goals. The process can be complex and filled with many uncertainties.

If you find yourself in this situation, please consider engaging in career and major exploration.

Why should I explore? There may be other programs which can help you achieve your educational goals.

Step 3: Plan

Did you know there are resources available in MyUWF?

  1. Degree Works app
  2. Excess Hours app
  3. Graduation Dashboard app

The Degree Works app provides an opportunity to develop a "What if" audit for major exploration. This feature allows you to explore a program of study by comparing the new program's degree requirements to your completed course works.

Before changing a major, please ensure you have discussed this decision with your Financial Aid advisor. Changing your major may have major implications related to financial aid eligibility.
