A minor in Physics is available for students in a wide variety of majors. It provides the opportunity to add value to the major degree and to expand their opportunities for employment.

Minor in Physics

A Minor in Physics can be earned by completing 15 sh of physics courses above 3100 level, including PHY 3106 Modern Physics I and PHY 3107 Modern Physics II. Physics majors may not earn this minor.

Earning a minor in Physics provides the opportunity to add value to the major degree and to expand opportunities for employment. Physics and today's fast paced industries work well together, with physics implementing the framework for a spectrum of technological specialties. This minor will increase your knowledge of physics past the preparatory level, developing your knowledge of necessary principles, strengthening your analytical abilities, and improving your experience to stay informed in a dynamic technological society.
