Biography:
Dr. Rohan Hemasinha is a Professor whose research interests include Matrix Theory, Discrete Mathematics, graph algorithms, spectral properties of graphs, and applications of discrete mathematics. He earned both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has a B.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Sri Lanka. Hemasinha’s research has been published in Journal of Mathematics and Computer Education and Linear Algebra and its Applications. He has written about ordered vector spaces, non-rigorous proofs of Stirling’s Formula and other topics. Among the courses he teaches: Matrix Theory and Calculus III. He joined UWF’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 1986.
