Scholarships

The following is a partial list of scholarships available for UWF Computer Science students. Application is done through the MyUWF homepage in the UWF Scholarship Portal.


For more information on these scholarships (and others) and to apply, please log in to your MyUWF homepage and click on the UWF Scholarship Portal.

After submitting the General Application, you will receive information on some recommended Apply-To scholarships for which you will have to provide extra supplemental information. Submission of this supplemental information will increase your chances at getting more awards.

Computer Science Computer Science Scholarship For graduate students in Computer Science that meet enrollment requirements.
Computer Science Lancy C. Jen Scholarship for Excellence: Computer Science Full-time students with a major in Mathematics or Computer Science. Students must maintain a minimum B average in all college-level courses and show accomplishment in discipline related endeavors.
Computer Science Michael Page Douglas Memorial Scholarship for Computer Science For students who are juniors or above with a major in Computer Science and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Computer Science NDIA Cybersecurity Scholarship Preference will be given to upper-level students majoring in computer science with a cyber security specialization maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Computer Science Nick Johnson Academic Scholarship Full-time undergraduate students with a major in Computer Science. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Microsoft Network+ Certification Scholarships Full-time to part-time undergraduate students of the Computer Science department can apply. The students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, completed over 75 semester hours, and preference is given to students registered in 6 hours or less in the summer.

John C. Pace, Jr. Achievement Scholarship for Continuing Graduation Students Full-time graduate degree-seeking students. Four to eight students are typically awarded for Fall and Spring semesters. No commitment is required.

Graduate Merit Scholarship Full-time graduate degree-seeking students. Candidate must be in good standing at UWF. No work commitment is required

UWF Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship

Full-time to part-time students may apply for the summer study abroad programs. Applicants for Study Abroad Programs must have a minimum 2.5 GPA; some programs require a higher GPA.

Graduate Assistantships

Purpose: Provide teaching or research assistantships for work with Faculty.
Criteria: Based on academic achievement, interests, and capabilities.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled full-time (6sh graduate hours or more).
Amount: Hourly wage of approximately $10.50/hr.
Work Commitment: 10-20 hours/wk fall and spring (also summers, subject to funding).
