Availability of Software

Supported software is available to be installed on all compatible University-owned equipment. The software must be installed by a support technician as per licensing agreement. Copies of software and licensing numbers cannot be distributed to any personnel other than the authorized support technicians.

Faculty and Staff members wishing to obtain personal copies of select software titles for ‘Work at Home’ purposes may contact ITS or speak with at TSS representative for assistance.

Termination of Software Support

Software support for out of date materials will be terminated after two version revisions, when the manufacturer discontinues support or when our software contract dictates.

Purchasing

Users wishing to purchase software may contact a TSS representative for inquiry. It is important to assure compatibility with current University software prior to installation. The University is granted special educational discounts on many software bundles and may have limited license agreements with particular companies that may be bought into.

Support & Maintenance

Supported software will be regularly updated. After the manufacturer has released complete information pertaining to the changes and the various technology groups have had a chance to test the updated software for compatibility with current systems, the update will be made available for use. Updating prior to examination may cause catastrophic incompatibility and data loss in certain situations.

Software titles not listed are considered unsupported.  Please contact the manufacturer for assistance.
