The primary responsibility of the Department of Research and Advanced Studies is to serve as the central contact for the doctoral program. The Doctor of Education degree at UWF is designed to prepare individuals to assume leadership roles in public education, health and human service, government agencies, and military education programs. Emphasis is on preparing graduates capable of conducting and evaluating applied research at the local, state, or regional level.
