Human Performance Technology Certificate
The Certificate in Human Performance Technology (HPT) at UWF prepares students to analyze organizational performance and design, develop, implement and evaluate performance improvement solutions. This 12-hour online program is aligned with the performance standards developed by the International Society for Performance Improvement, preparing students to function as performance improvement specialists in a number of organizational settings.
The certificate includes four courses, each focused on a key component of the HPT process:
- Performance, Gap and Cause Analysis
- Intervention Selection and Design
- Intervention Implementation and Change Management
- Evaluation of HPT Interventions
The entire certificate can be completed in as little as one semester.
The HPT certificate program provides foundational knowledge, skills and abilities that can be applied in a wide variety of organizational settings including business, healthcare, public and private education, military and non-profit sectors. Career areas of focus can include all levels of management, work force and staff training, organizational development, structural support design, analyst, evaluator and strategist, change leader and more.
Credits earned in conjunction with the Certificate in Human Performance Technology (HPT) can be applied towards multiple degree programs including the Master of Education in Instructional Technology, the Master of Science in Administration Human Performance Technology Specialization and the Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Instructional Technology Specialization.
