Engineering Technology Applications in Aviation

UWF partners with the National Flight Academy to offer Engineering Technology Applications in Aviation, a one credit hour course offered to prospective high school juniors and seniors attending the 5.5 day Ambition Program at the National Flight Academy.


Program Description

The Division of Continuing Education at the University of West Florida in partnership with the National Flight Academy is pleased to offer Engineering Technology Applications in Aviation, a one credit-hour course offered by UWF at the National Flight Academy in Pensacola Florida.

Who Qualifies?

High school prospective juniors and seniors attending the 5.5 day Ambition program at the National Flight Academy can earn college credit when they simultaneously take the Engineering Technology Applications in Aviation course.

Course description:

Learners will apply engineering technology concepts to successfully plan and execute aviation-related mission scenarios in a high-fidelity fully immersive learning environment at the National Flight Academy in Pensacola, Florida.

Tuition: $203.98 (note: no scholarships or discounts)

This tuition is separate from the cost of attending the National Flight Academy 
*NO application fee.

Below are the steps to get registered for the course:

  1. Apply to UWF as a non-degree seeking student

    • Indicate Engineering Technology undergraduate as the program

    • There is no application fee

    • Once your application is reviewed and approved by Admissions (1-3 working days), you will receive an email from Admissions that includes your new UWF ID number

    • If you have any trouble submitting this application, you may contact Jennifer Scheibe at 850-474-2055

  2. All students must submit the online Mandatory Immunization Health History Form to the UWF Health Center and email supporting immunization documents to satisfy the University's immunization requirements.

    • It is possible with this course being online, you may be allowed to waive the immunizations. Contact the UWF Health Center at 850-474-2172 if you have any questions or need assistance

  3. All students will have a financial responsibility hold each semester:

    • Log into your student account (https://my.uwf.edu/).  You should have an "Agree to Pay" message via MyMessages in MyUWF.

    • Go to MyMessages in MyUWF and read the "Agree to Pay" message.

    • Check the Confirm Acknowledgement box and click "I Agree".
