Camp Description

Explore pattern-making and tessellations using shapes and textures derived from nature. Invest time and patience into planning and carving an image using the linocut printmaking process. Create a multi-color image that can be replicated and printed for years to come. Discover challenges and successes through the counter-intuitive process of block printing.

Learning Objectives

  • Student will master the block printing process
  • Student will create a printed pattern on an article of clothing
  • Student will create an original design (your own stamp) to mass produce
  • Student will understand self-guided work
  • Student will practice time management
