Nicole Grinnan graduated with an M.A. in Historical Archaeology with a focus on Maritime Archaeology from the University of West Florida in 2014, and received her B.A. in Anthropology and B.A. in History from the University of Central Florida in 2010. Nicole currently works as Public Archaeologist for the Florida Public Archaeology Network’s Northwest Region and engages in outreach and education about Northwest Florida history and archaeology on a daily basis. On the weekend, she works as a SCUBA Instructor in Pensacola. Nicole is also a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association of Interpretation and enjoys promoting the history and preservation of local shipwrecks and other maritime archaeological sites. She looks forward to teaching the next generation of history and archaeology enthusiasts through UWF’s Explore Summer Camp program!
