Work in the field of Behavioral Heath while earning your degree! Enroll in Essentials of Applied Behavior Analysis (HSC 3991), an introductory course meeting the curriculum requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).


Students passing the national exam are qualified to work in the field of behavioral health while earning their degree.

What is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)?

RBTs work directly with clients to implement behavior treatment plans under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Clients are often children, teens or adults diagnosed with Autism or other diagnosis that would benefit from behavioral treatment.

Course Highlights

  • Online course open to degree and non-degree seeking students.
  • Meets the 40-hour curriculum prerequisite for the Registered Behavior Technician exam.
  • First course in the 4-course behavioral health elective sequence necessary to become a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), along with a BA degree and requisite experience.
