Summary/Job Objective:

Achieve Beyond is leading national Healthcare provider specializing in Pediatric Therapy and Autism services for children from birth through twenty-one years of age. Our family centered approach allows us to work in partnership with families to meet each child’s developmental needs in a nurturing and supportive environment.  We are currently seeking qualified part-time BCBAs to join our team to supervise ABA cases for our private insurance business either in New York, California, Texas or Virginia.  The BCBA would be responsible for providing supervision to trained behavioral therapists providing direct individualized home-based/community Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children on the autism spectrum.   Children receiving services will range in age from two to twenty-one years of age.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

As the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, you will assist with the following but not limited to:

  • Provide direct/indirect supervision to behavioral therapists assigned to cases 
  • Complete paperwork and performance evaluations during / after observations
  • Design curriculum plans, review, and update on a regular basis
  • Design behavior intervention plans
  • Clinically review reports and session notes on a regular basis  
  • Analyze data and implement data-driven program changes
  • Write reports summarizing data and progress for each client supervised
  • Regular communication with parents, behavioral therapists, and the Achieve Beyond office is required
  • Participate in bi-weekly collaborative team meetings for supervised cases
  • Conduct assessments for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum ages 2-21 years of age using the ABLLS-R
  • Per cases assigned, twice yearly clinical write-ups are required for continued approval of ABA services
  • Coordinate with Program Manager / Director of Clinical Services to maintain quality of cases
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with State & Federal regulations).
  • Offer suggestions of incorporating individualized goals into family’s daily routine.
  • Provide parents and teachers with resources.
  • Ensure program quality assurance (services, programs, schedule, staff, etc.)
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in (Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Educational/Health/Human Services, Psychology).
  • BCBA REQUIRED

Experience:

Minimum of one year of ABA client/teacher field supervision

Eden II Programs has been providing services to children and adults on the autism spectrum in the New York City area since its opening in 1976. We provide empirically supported treatments, based on an applied behavior analytic framework across all of our programs and services. We provide services to families within the boroughs of NYC as well as Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. We employ professionals across a wide range of disciplines including board certified behavior analysts, speech pathologists, certified special education teachers, licensed psychologists, Medicaid service coordinators and direct support professionals. We are currently searching to fill two opened behavior analyst/behavior intervention specialist positions within our Staten Island Residential and Adult Day Habilitation Programs. The positions are full time, 40 hours per week positions with work hours being flexible across days and evenings as needed by the assigned caseload. All participants will be of adult age and have a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. The position reports to a licensed psychologist/board certified behavior analyst and receives ongoing training from the Director of Psychological Services.

Specific job duties include:

  •  Conducting functional assessments and developing behavior intervention plans to treat problem behavior
  •  Conducting and overseeing staff training
  •  Collecting and analyzing behavior data
  •  Meeting with families and treatment teams
  •  Maintaining clinical paperwork as regulated by the state
  •  Assisting in the development of skill acquisition goals
  •  Reporting case progress to superiors.

Additionally, the behavior analyst/behavior intervention specialist will participate in agency- wide activities such as conducting research, attending professional conferences and developing clinical systems across the agency.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in an applied field of psychology (related fields may be considered)
  • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) preferred but not required
  • At least five years of experience developing and overseeing behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and significant problem behavior (preferably with an adolescent or adult population on the autism spectrum)
