Qualifications: Applicants should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have a desire to contribute new ideas.  Excellent social and written communication skills are essential.  All employees are required to pass a criminal background screening.  In order to be considered for a position at BTEC, a candidate must hold at least a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology or related field, and have current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA.

Responsibilities: Caseload responsibilities include functional assessment and evaluation of clients, development of client behavior intervention plans, direct 1:1 implementation of interventions and behavior change protocols with clients, data collection and analysis, and communication and direct training of parents and caregivers.  All BTEC practitioners are expected to professionally collaborate with one another in order to ensure the integration of the most advanced research based methods of treatment into each child’s program.

Salary: Outstanding salary, commensurate with each candidate’s credentials, experience, and ability to enrich and positively contribute to the company.

Benefits: Medical benefits available, professional liability insurance, continuing education budget, paid vacation time and holidays.

Psychological Services Director - Developmental Disabilities Defendant Program (DDDP) - Chattahoochee, FL BCBA-D

Psychological Services Director

For Behavioral Services Oversight

The Developmental Disabilities Defendant Program (DDDP) is seeking a Doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst, preferably with forensic experience to direct and oversee behavior analytic staff in the development of behavioral programming, monitoring and staff training. The salary for this full time position begins at $75,000, with negotiation for years of experience.

The DDDP is a 146 bed secure facility, with current census of 89 individuals, located on the grounds of Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida, approximately 50 miles from Tallahassee. This is Florida’s only admission facility for individuals charged with a felony crime and found to be incompetent to proceed to trial based on a developmental or intellectual disability.

The program is designed for competency restoration and also provides additional programming through: anger management, substance abuse, social skills, recreation and fitness, with the goal of preparation for a less restrictive placement when the judicial system allows for such transitioning.

In addition, all medical, dental and dietary needs are addressed through an individualized support team process. The program operates on a level system designed to increase socially appropriate behavior and decrease undesirable behaviors. The residents have an opportunity to earn points throughout the course of the day for class attendance and the absence of maladaptive behavior. Each evening residents have the opportunity to exchange these points for items purchased at a token store. Residents have increased privileges with advancement in the level system to allow for opportunities for trips outside of the secure network for shopping and dining out, with Court approval for that level of freedom of movement.
