Job Title: Director of ABA Services

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hours: Full-time/Monday- Friday

SUMMARY

The Director of ABA Services will direct, lead and supervise ABA services at Glenwood ensuring quality clinical treatment based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); within the guidelines of all accrediting groups. The Director will manage and assign caseloads meeting productivity requirements.  Collaborates and communicates effectively with multiple internal programs and external customers in designing, implementing, and monitoring behavioral intervention plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Direct, lead, and supervise ABA services
  • Follow accrediting agencies standards
  • Exercise discretion and judgment in the management of ABA Services and within the established policies and procedures of Glenwood
  • Prepare/review documentation associated with ABA Services; behavior intervention plans, behavioral data, ABC sheets, quarterly review of progress, etc. Writing, reviewing, and evaluating treatment goals
  • Participates in the performance improvement process
  • Manages conflict resolution in a positive manner
  • Understand and meet identified deadlines
  • Manage productivity requirements
  • Directs and implements ABA training for agency staff

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ABA treatment techniques and treatment program designs for individuals with ASD and Severe Emotional Disturbances

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in program development - (Prior experience relating to the assessment and treatment of those with a diagnosis of autism)
  • A minimum of 3 years as a BCBA working with individuals with ASD
  • A minimum of 5 years-experience managing ABA services

QUALIFICATIONS: Microsoft Office

EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • PhD, BCBA-D preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, ore related field
  • Active Certification as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) required

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to pass required background screens: criminal; educational, motor vehicle report –acceptable to agency’s insurer, clearance with AL DHR child abuse registry; ABI/FBI registry; pre-employment post-offer drug screen and physical; the ability to acquire, perform, and maintain certification in first aid, CPR, Managing Crisis Safely (MCS).

Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Hours: Full-time/Monday - Friday

SUMMARY:

Glenwood, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our ABA Services team as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  Our team provides ABA services to individuals with autism of all ages in educational, residential, and day habilitation environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Work collaboratively with agency professionals to ensure that individuals served on assigned caseload are provided highest quality behavior analytic services available
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, including descriptive assessments and functional analyses
  • Develop Behavior Intervention Plans/Skill Acquisition Programming
  • Create and monitor data collection systems
  • Provide competency-based staff training on behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programming
  • Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians/RBTs
  • Provide crisis management, consultation, plan monitoring, and feedback as needed
  • Complete related paperwork including progress reports and billing documentation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ABA staff training programs in a variety of settings, as assigned

EXPERIENCE: 1+ year(s) of experience in the field of developmental disabilities

EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • MA/MS/M.Ed.  In psychology, special education, or related field, concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA
  • Current AL driver’s license and must be insurable through Glenwood’s contracting insurer.
  • Certification in agency provided training in 1st Aid, CPR, MCS (Managing Crisis Safely)
