The Office of Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of West Florida is proud to share the following testimonials from our current students and graduates.
I received my MA from the University of West Florida in the past and had a great experience, so I chose UWF for my BCBA classes. The instructors were caring and qualified. The BCBA Courses at UWF has had an immense impact on my professional experiences. It has changed the way I conduct my classroom, opened up sideline opportunities for me to provide services to clients, and renewed my enthusiasm for academic research. When I took the BCBA exam, I felt my instructors had prepared me for the rigor of the test. I am very satisfied with the education I received.
- Tammy Dasher, MA, BCBA
I am currently attending the University of West Florida (UWF) for my M.Ed in Exceptional Student Education. I am also taking BCBA classes, working towards becoming a BCBA. My experience in the BCBA program at the UWF has been exceptional. I love the flexibility of the online classes, as well as how knowledgeable the instructors are on Applied Behavior Analysis and current best practices. I feel as though I will be more than prepared when I take the BCBA exam and then on to work in the field.
- Ashley Hooks, Current Student
I have taught ABA courses in the Distance Learning department of University of West Florida since 2006. The BCBA course sequence is thorough and enriched with multi-faceted learning experiences. Through Elluminate, students are able to participate in live classes from the convenience of their personal computer. In this day in age, integrating technology into education is necessary. UWF’s online systems facilitate the use of technology in easy-to-use online rooms, discussion forums, links to helpful websites, assignment submission folders, exam rooms, grades tracking, and fully accessible lecture notes and course materials.
As an instructor, I have enjoyed the benefit of working with University of West Florida’s, Office of ABA’s team of highly knowledgeable professionals. I find that I am consistently met with timely responses and helpful information. I also appreciate the organization of the Argus and Elearning systems. Having these online supports in place has been instrumental in my success as an instructor.
Most importantly, this program does a great job preparing future behaviorists to become board certified. This is an exceptional program, and one that I feel confident to recommend to those interested in pursuing their board certification in behavior analysis.

Community Testimony-Impact of ABA
The partnership between the Office of ABA at UWF, the Autism Resource Center at Sacred Heart Hospital, and the Kids for Camp program of Autism Pensacola is unique and symbiotic in that it brings together three completely separate organizations and makes each one more effective in what they do. Dr. Leasha Barry of UWF, Susan Byram of Autism Pensacola and Deborah Keremes of Sacred Heart have been diligent in their efforts to work together towards a common goal---providing families affected by autism with diagnostic and learning tools, all levels of support, and most importantly, hope for the future.

Private Cohort Testimony
Our partnership with UWF has been invaluable in two very important ways. First, this partnership has given many of our professional staff the opportunity to develop a university affiliation and to satisfy their goal of teaching graduate level coursework. In addition, being able to make the ABA course sequence more readily available to our para-professional staff has allowed us to meet a very important agency need in preparing them for their role in our service delivery and cultivating their interest in a career in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. We look forward to continuing our partnership with UWF and would encourage other agencies to follow.
