SERC and S2ERC
The Software Engineering Research Center (SERC) is an NSF sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) that has been ongoing for 23 years. Over 100 research projects have been conducted at SERC. SERC Overview
Collaborative, customized projects and technology transfer to industry affiliates are the hallmarks of SERC. The industry affiliates receive from the cooperative research immediate access to customized research, interaction with diverse expert researchers, access to new graduates and summer interns and an excellent return on the investment (7-to-1 to a 10-to-1 return).

S2ERC
The National Science Foundation has invited SERC to apply for funding to become a new I/UCRC focused on security as well as software engineering. The new center is named The Security and Software Engineering Research Center (S2ERC).
The University of West Florida is in the process of becoming an NSF funded S2ERC site. This award will facilitate collaborative research between university researchers and regional, national and international industry affiliates.
UWF Will Host S2ERC Showcase
The Fall 2010 S2ERC Showcase will be held at the University of West Florida. Showcases focus on enhancing synergy between researchers from participating universities and industry leaders.
