
Welcome to the Computer Science Department, part of the University of West Florida School of Science and Engineering. After the Fall 2009 term, computer science, along with computer information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics and statistics, physics and software engineering will come together in our new four-story, showcase building, designed to fuel the imagination.
We offer Bachelor of Science and Master in Science degrees in Computer Science with several specialization options, minors, certificates and internships. Students in the Computer Science programs enjoy the personal attention of our faculty members in all facets of their education.
With an average student to teacher ratio of 21:1, students take part in lectures and labs with individual attention from full-time faculty. Undergraduate students are afforded the opportunity to participate in research projects, teaching assistantships, and conferences.
Computer Science is one of the most employable and lucrative careers at the bachelor's level and our alumni are employed across the country at notable companies including Microsoft, Harris, Northrop Grumman, Computer Science Corporation, General Dynamics, and Home Depot, in addition to many local and regional companies.
