Dr. D.W. McMillan BSN Nursing Program

UWF offers a traditional bachelor's degree in Nursing. Our curriculum prepares students to become clinical generalists who are leaders, managers, and life-long learners who integrate research findings into their nursing practice. The graduate is prepared to plan health care for individuals, families, and groups.

University of West Florida's Pre-Licensure BSN Program information

Our nursing program is a limited access program which means acceptance to the University does not constitute admission to the upper division Nursing Program. Please note that you will need to complete a supplemental application (is now open September 5 - November 7, 2017 for Summer 2018) for the School of Nursing, according to the timelines listed for each application period. All applicants must meet admission requirements in order to be considered. Click here to take you to the Admissions Applications page.

 SUMMER 2018 APPLICATIONS IS NOW OPEN SEPTEMBER 5 - NOVEMBER 7, 2017

***UWF School of Nursing is excited to announce that we will be updating our policy to allow students that are in the process of completing their final nursing pre-requisites, the opportunity to apply while still in the necessary classes. If the student is accepted to the nursing program, they will be offered conditional letters of acceptance that will depend upon the successful completion of the nursing pre-requisite courses. This change will be effective for the Fall of 2017 application cycle. Please email  cohnursing@uwf.edu with any questions. Thank you!***
