Linda Tibbits


Linda Tibbits, instructor and coordinator of RN to BSN program, teaches online courses in gerontology, and law and ethics.

Tibbits is a maternal-child health nurse with an academic interest in developing curriculum that advances nursing education. 

She is coordinator of UWF's accelerated online program that enables registered nurses to earn a bachelor of science in nursing. Tibitt's research interest focuses on improving nursing academic writing. She received a Quality Enhancement Program fellowship to develop and implement a pilot project that strengthens nursing students’ academic writing skills and prepares them both for the workplace and advanced education.  

Before coming to UWF in 2007, she was an instructor of nursing at Ball State University's School of Nursing.

She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing and master’s in nursing education from Ball State University.
