The Emerging Scholars in Environmental Health Program serves to improve and promote secondary science education in environmental health

Development of the Emerging Scholars in Environmental Health Program was supported by a grant to the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane University from the Gulf Region Health Outreach Program, which is funded from the Deepwater Horizon Medical Benefits Class Action Settlement.

The program's goal is to improve and promote secondary science education in environmental health by exposing students and their teachers from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties to concepts and practices in the discipline of Environmental Health at no charge to the participants.
