Dr. Scott Keller is the John C. Pace Distinguished Professor at UWF, where he is a Professor of Marketing and Logistics.
Keller is recognized for being in the top 5 percent of the most productive and frequently published researchers in top logistics journals.
Keller helped create UWF’s new, stand-alone Supply Chain Logistics Management Degree program.
Keller holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Arkansas (with a concentration in Logistics and Transportation). He was an Assistant Professor of Logistics at both Michigan State University and Pennsylvania State University before joining UWF’s faculty.
Keller has published research in numerous peer-reviewed publications and is co-author of a hardback book, “The Definitive Guide to Warehousing.”
His peer-reviewed articles on logistics and supply chain issues have been published in Journal of Business Logistics, Transportation Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Journal of Business Logistics, Transportation Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management. They touch on such topics as “Chemical Rail Transport: The Benefit of Reliability,” shipper-carrier issues, management learning, personnel issues, and “The future of logistics education.”
Keller has worked directly in the field, as a terminal dispatcher, supervisor and superintendent.
Among his latest research projects: “Trust and Security in Supply Chain Relationships” and “Putting Practice into the Classroom: Collaborating with Managers to Develop the Preferred Logistics Graduate.”
Keller is Associate Editor of Journal of Business Logistics and former Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Logistics Management.
