The UWF Department of Global Hospitality and Tourism Management
The Global Hospitality and Tourism Management (GHTM) program at the University of West Florida offers a learning environment where students are challenged and encouraged to pursue unique, individual career goals in the hospitality industry while attaining the foundation necessary to be successful in the workplace.
The Department of Global Hospitality and Tourism Management is located in the College of Business. Classes are taught at both the main campus in Pensacola and the Fort Walton Beach campus; and are now being offered at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Fla. The program’s proximity to beautiful Florida Gulf Coast tourist communities, such as Pensacola Beach, Destin, Perdido Key, and Fort Walton Beach, provide a living laboratory where students can apply, first-hand, the knowledge and theories they learn in the classroom.
The GHTM program embraces diversity and includes traditional, non-traditional, and international students who are seeking four-year degrees from the University of West Florida, as well as students working toward bachelor’s degrees in GHTM after receiving Associates degrees from community colleges. Students in GHTM have a strong management and problem-solving orientation that is balanced with operational skills, all of which are necessary for career progression to leadership positions in the hospitality and related professions. For more information about this program, please refer to the UWF Catalog.
Note: This program is not AACSB accredited.
