Accounting

This minor exposes students to all functional areas of accounting and is primarily designed for College of Business students in majors other than Accounting.


Program Description

The Accounting Minor requires a minimum of 18-39 semester hours of course work. Students who have not completed the College of Business Core courses must complete 21 semester hours of prerequisite courses. A grade of C or better is required for all courses in the minor.

ACG 4651 Auditing 3
either TAX 4001 Tax Accounting 3
or TAX 3021 Tax for Decision Makers 3
 Students who have not completed the COB Core will need to complete the following pre-reqs:

 ACG 2071 Principles of Managerial Accounting 
 CGS 2570 Personal Computer Applications 
 ECO 3003 Principles of Economic Theory and Public Policy 
 FIN 3403 Managerial Finance 
 MAC 1105 College Algebra 
 STA 2023 Elements of Statistics
