What is Government Contracting Services?
Florida's Government Contracting Services was established in 1985 to assist any business (small, other than small, profit or non-profit) located in Florida interested in obtaining contracts with the Department of Defense (DOD), other federal agencies, state/local government agencies and prime contractors.
Government Contracting Services is a specialized area of the Florida SBDC Network. Consulting is provided by Government Contracting Specialists, trained and experienced in government procurement processes and requirements. These specialists can be found in seven FSBDC's across the state, with Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach being two of them.
Government Contracting Services is funded in part through a cooperative agreement from the Department of Defense (DOD) through a program that is administered by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The content of any written materials or verbal communications of Government Contracting Services does not necessarily reflect the official views of or imply endorsement by DOD or DLA.
Business with Government
Consulting is provided at no cost to any Florida firm (small, other than small, for profit, non-profit). Fees may be charged for special services and/or workshops. The purpose of the Government Contracting Services is to educate businesses on government policies, generate sales and jobs for Florida businesses and to improve the business climate and economic development in Florida.
