
We are very proud of all of our graduates. Many of our alumni are working in hospital laboratories in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Gainesville, and Panama City, to name a few Florida cities. Our program goes beyond the state borders, too, with alumni working in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Texas, Hawaii and Alaska.

Matthew Dunaway, MT(ASCP) class of 2004 – Second year Medical Student, Florida State University. Matt reports "I am attending FSU Med School to receive a patient-centered education in the practice of rural medicine. My experience in medical technology is a great advantage in understanding medical school curriculum and clinical vignettes. It provides me the "behind-the-scenes" lab perspective few practicing physicians ever experience and highlights the importance of all professions involved in patient care".
Marites Soriano, MSM, MT(ASCP) class of 2003 – Sacred Heart Health Systems, Pensacola, Fl. Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Supervisor.
Ivett Bezovics, MT(ASCP) class of 2004. Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Crime Laboratory Analyst. Job responsibilities include examining evidence for the presence of biological fluids, extracting DNA from samples, developing DNA profiles from evidence to compare to DNA of other individuals, performing statistical calculations on the probability of a DNA profile in the general population, writing reports and testifying in court.
Jamila Chevalier, MT(ASCP) class of 2006 – Shands AGH, Gainesville, Fl. Medical Technologist. Working on Master’s in Business Administration at University of Florida. Future plans – Laboratory Management.
Cassie Wickline, LT, USAF, BSC, MT(ASCP) class of 2004 – Chief, Laboratory Services, MacDill Air Force Base, Fl. Duties include assisting Flight Commander in overseeing technical and administrative operations of the Clinical Laboratory, which performs over 300,000 diagnostic tests per year. Officer in charge of Laboratory Quality Assurance program.
Bethanie Counselman, MT(ASCP) class of 2006 – Northwest Florida Blood Center, Pensacola, Fl. Medical Technologist. Job duties include crossmatching and antigen typing blood, testing blood donor units, performing quality control. Future plans – achieve a SBB certification – Specialist in Blood Bank
Ron A. Quijano, MSM, MT(ASCP) class of 2002 – Sacred Heart Health Systems, Pensacola, FL. Laboratory Systems Coordinator. Job responsibilities: Laboratory Information Systems Specialist and Six Sigma/LEAN Quality Assurance team leader.
