Assignments Homework will be assigned on a regular basis as topics are covered. Assignments are due on or before the day of the following test (e. g. word-processing assignments are due on the day of the word processing test, etc.). Late assignments will receive half credit. Students have to finish at least 50% of the assignments to be awarded a grade.

Each assignment will be graded on the basis of correctness. All homework assignments have to be stapled with cover sheet and be clearly labeled with student’s name and class meeting time.

Tests There will be four tests, one at the end of each module. As a general rule, make-up tests are NOT given. Students are expected to take the tests when scheduled. Make-up test will only be given in case of personal emergency. Professor has to be notified as soon as possible, so arrangements can be made to make up any test missed.

Cheating Sharing assignments is considered cheating. Cheating is not tolerated and any academic misconduct will be referred to the Director of Student Life and a grade of "F" will be assigned.
Grading: Final evaluation of a student's performance in the course will be based on the average of the four tests and 10 assignments. The assignments will total a maximum of 100 points.

Grading Scale: 90 - 100 A
(No Rounding) 85 - 89.99 B+, 80 - 84.99 B
75 - 79.99 C+, 70 - 74.99 C
65 - 69.99 D+, 60 - 64.99 D
  0 - 59.99 F

Attendance:

Per PJC policy (PJC Catalog, Page 43). Students may be withdrawn from the class by professor for excessive absences (with more than 3 absences). Attendance will be taken in each class. It is the student’s responsibility to sign the roster.

Communication: PJC provides an institutional email account to all credit students. Pirate Mail is the official method of communication, and students must use Pirate Mail when communicating with the College. In cases where companion software is used for a particular class, emails may be exchanged between instructor and student using the companion software.
