Note From The Director...
It is with great enthusiasm that the Art, Music, and Theatre departments at the University of West Florida present a unified Center for Fine and Performing Arts calendar of events.
The CFPA has combined its artistic offerings into multiple ticket packages allowing you, our patrons, to sample a variety of cultural events. Our goal is to build awareness of all three departments - Art, Music, and Theatre and the quality of our productions, concerts, shows, and exhibitions. There is truly something for everyone - exclusive Gallery openings and artist lectures including sculptor, Billie Grace-Lynne, the painting and print making of Luisa Basnuevo, and new media specialist, Dawn DeDeaux; nationally recognized musical artists such as pianist William Wolfram, violinist Emanuel Borok, trombonist Paul Compton, and mezzo-soprano Elise Quagliato; and diverse theatrical productions including Once on This Island, Antigone, A Christmas Carol, The House of Bernardo Alba, and Guys and Dolls. If that wasn’t enough to wet your appetite, we invite you to over 40 other free concerts, shows, and events.
The Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the campus of the University of West Florida is alive and well and a significant contributor to the quality of cultural life in our region. We invite you to join us and experience first hand the excellence of our programs. Whether it is as a nibbler of a few tasty treats, a sampler of a variety of offerings, or a smorgasbord of season events you will not be disappointed.
We'll see you at the Center!
Sincerely,
Kyle Marrero
