Welcome From the Dean

Here in the UWF College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS), we pride ourselves on providing a supportive environment for our doctoral students. A unique and diverse group, our student body reflects the dedication and perseverance needed to achieve an advanced educational degree.

UWF plays an important role in Florida’s higher education landscape as a mid-sized public university. Our scale facilitates a special intellectual community - different by design - that is committed to the pursuit of excellence, inspiring the highest levels of student engagement, learning, creativity and success.

Whether during the day on campus, evenings, weekends, through cohorts or through online learning, our distinguished faculty provide their research and expertise to students through a variety of very engaging methods. We have faculty participating in many technology-based projects for student teaching, online learning, advising through web conferencing and classroom engagement. We have even had faculty deliver entire courses through mobile devices to our deployed military personnel.

Throughout the college you will find programs that are engaging, practical and make an impact in the community and in our ever-changing world. Please explore what we have to offer. Plan your next steps with the College of Education and Professional Studies!
