This unique 3–hour credit elective emphasizes the development of 21st Century skills related to career development (e.g., global awareness, initiative and self–direction, flexibility and adaptability, social and cross–cultural skills, critical thinking and problem solving, etc.).
This course will span across 2014 Spring and Summer Semesters. Selected students will engage in pre–trip activities during the Spring Semester, travel to Japan, May 6 – May 18, 2014, to interact with Jikei College Group of Japan students, participate in a service learning project, and upon return will collaborate in compiling a multimedia presentation that can be presented to various audiences.
Students will be required to complete and submit online application and if selected register for a UWF 3–hour course and pay for meals and incidentals while traveling (approximately $600.00).
