Emerge Faculty Fellow: Dr. Christopher K. Wirth
Undergraduate students on the Systematic Feedback project will be expected to participate in 15 teaching hours with K–12 students enrolled in the UWF Movement Academy. Each lesson taught by students in the project will be recorded and evaluated using a systematic observation instrument.
An adapted version of the Qualitative Measures of Teaching Performance System (QMTPS) will be used to determine clarity of instructions and demonstrations used in each lesson. In addition, teacher feedback type and quantity will be assessed. Students will learn to use the QMTPS to evaluate their own teaching performance, and the results will be used to improve overall instruction and teaching performance.
