The Blackwater River Foundation established the the Bagdad Waterfronts Partnership though funding from the Florida Department of Community Affairs' Waterfronts Florida Partnership program. This project was conducted in support of that effort. A survey of water front plant communities, including submerged aquatic vegetation, emergent vegetation, and hydric swamp forest plants were recorded at specific transect points along the shoreline (download the report below). An aerial photograph was used as a base to overlay data on shoreline characteristics (download the map below). The study was conducted by two UWF students: Wendy Eash and Joel Worrell under the direction of Richard Snyder, CEDB.
