He held the positions of Head of the Music Education Department and Professor of Music at Mississippi State University, Chair of the Division of Fine Arts at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana and Director of Bands at Augusta State University and Truett-McConnell College.

    • Short Bio: Matthew Fossa has been the Principal Oboist of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra since 2002. In addition, he holds the same position with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and also performs with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Fossa received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and the Performer’s Certificate from the Crane School of Music in May of 1998. He was awarded his Master’s Degree in Oboe Performance at the Florida State University in December of 2000.

    • Short Bio: Dr. Lauderdale is an accomplished pianist and organist. She joined the UWF faculty in 1980. She retired from full-time work in 2015. In her time with the university she has seen many of her students accepted to Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, The Julliard School, and several other prestigious institutions. She has served as the organist at First Baptist Church of Pensacola since 1981 and has been an active member of the community.
