Dr. Ashley Clayson, postdoctoral teaching associate, conducts research into the material and embodied nature of writing, digital and material tools, collaborative writing, distributed cognition’s impacts on writing, and workplace writing pedagogy.
Clayson’s expertise includes distributed writing in the workplace.
At Auburn University she earned an M.A. in Technical and Professional Communication and a B.A. in English.
Clayson has made presentations to numerous groups, including the Writing Research Across Borders International Conference, the Association for Business Communication International Convention, the Computers & Writing Conference, and the Conference on College Composition & Communication.

Clayson has a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota.
