Pricing for Traditional and Online Academic Courses

Are you a UWF employee? Full-time university employees who are not covered by a bargaining unit and those employees who are covered by a bargaining unit that negotiated this benefit with the university are permitted up to six credit hours of course work at UWF per term (fall, spring, summer) without payment of tuition or mandatory fees.

A Special Welcome to Alabama Students

Alabama students will be extended In-State Tuition + a fixed dollar amount per credit hour which represents a significant discount from out-of-State tuition and is actually lower than in-state tuition charged by some states.

In terms of cost, in Fall 2010, the total tuition for each online, academic course was ~$520-$930 (i.e., FL residents paid ~$519-$833/course, continuing education students paid ~$550/course, and international/out-of-state students ~$581-$927/course with online waiver).

Finally, please note that all international and out-of-state students that are degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking and pursing the undergraduate or graduate Certificate in Medical Informatics are eligible for the Out-of-State Waiver described below, but this waiver must be submitted every semester at the time of registration.

Out of State Tuition Waivers

Many online programs in SAHLS are eligible for Out-of-State Tuition Fee Waiver. International/out-of-state students must apply for the waiver during each semester of enrollment to receive that rate.
