Dr. Gregory Lanier

Dr. Gregory Lanier, Associate Dean, has been with the Kugelman Honors Program since 1999 and serves as the faculty and administrative head of Kugelman Honors. He teaches, advises, organizes, and leads the students of the Kugelman Honors Program.

Dr. Greg Tomso

Dr. Greg Tomso joined the Kugelman Honors Program in 2009. He earned his Ph.D. in English from Duke University in 2001 and is an Associate Professor in UWF's Department of English. Dr. Tomso oversees Honors theses, teaching students how to plan, write, and submit their original research and creative projects. Through his Honors seminar, "The Politics of Food," Dr. Tomso and his students have been involved in several large-scale community projects to raise awareness about local food movements and community gardening.

Dr. Jocelyn Evans

Dr. Jocelyn Evans is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Chair of the Department of Government. She teaches Honors Core II and American Politics for Honors students. Dr. Evans has served on the Kugelman Honors Program Committee since 2010.

Mrs. Jennifer Vallin

Jennifer Vallin, Assistant Director of the Kugelman Honors Program, is a former Honors graduate and joined us on staff in 2008. She graduated with her M.A. in History from UWF in 2007. She is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Kugelman Honors Program, which includes student recruitment, advising students, teaching Honors seminars, managing UWF's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, working with other departments on campus, and coordinating involvement with state, regional, and national Honors Councils.

Robin Jones Staff Photo

Ms. Robin Jones

Robin Jones, Assistant Director of the Kugelman Honors Program, is a former Honors graduate and joined us in 2012. She completed her Master's of Education in College Student Personnel at UWF in 2005, spent a year as an Americorps VISTA with Chain Reaction, and worked in several other fields before returning to UWF. Robin advises students, manages honors scholarships, and works with student leaders within the Kugelman Honors Program to provide opportunities for student engagement.
