Scholarships

We offer a wide variety of scholarships for undergraduate Communication Arts majors.

How To Apply


Submit application materials to Rick Scott, Program Director.

DEADLINES for all scholarships:

Fall Term: Deadline is March 15

Spring Term: Deadline is November 15

The following scholarships will pay a minimum of $250 per semester. For each scholarship, the student must submit the following:

A letter stating the following about the applicant:


          1. interest in applying for the scholarship


          2.  eligibility for that scholarship


          3.  discussion of career plans and ambitions

An updated resume.

NOTE: Only a limited number of small graduate scholarships/stpends are available. Please check with Rick Scott, Program Director, regarding financial resources.


Scholarships

Pat Lloyd Tiger Bay Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a student in good standing in the Journalism Track.

Eric B. Calcagni Memorial Scholarship

In order to be eligible for the Eric B. Calcagni Memorial Scholarship, you must be a student in good standing in the Telecommunication/Film Track (Radio/TV/Film). Selection will be made on the basis of aptitude, promise and passion for the field. GPA is not a factor in this scholarship, but compassion for coworkers and associates is.

 

Susan L. Morris Memorial Scholarship

In order to be eiligble for this scholarship, you must be a student in good standing in the Telecommunication/Film Track (Radio/TV/Film) and must demonstrate service to the department and commitment to and enthusiasm for the discipline.

Pensacola Press Club Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and must have attended high school in the Escambia/Santa Rosa County area.

James J. Marks Forensics Scholarship

Awarded each year to a member of UWF Speech and Debate Team. In order to be eligible, you must be a member of the UWF Speech and Debate team.
