The anthropology students at UWF have been hard at work. We would like to acknowledge those who have received awards and grants or presented papers and posters at the various anthropology and archaeology conferences and events.

Linda Suzanne C. Borgen Received $500 grant to present a paper at the 12th Conference of the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration, University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Presented a paper at the Gulf South Historical Conference and the Southeastern Archaeological Conference. Received a $5000 Fellowship from the South Asia Summer Language Institute, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Received $1000 UWF Graduate Student Scholarly and Creativity Grant.
Timothy Holmes Won department SEASTARS award.
Larry James Presented papers to the Society for Historical Archaeology Conference, the Florida Historical Society, and the Southeastern Archaeological Conference. Received a $500 UWF Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee.
Patrick Johnson Presented paper to the Florida Historical Society Annual Meeting. Received $1000 Scholarly and Creative Activities Grant
Kendra Kennedy Received the Pat and Hal Marcus Fellowship
John Krebs Received a $400 grant from the Pensacola Archaeological Society. Received $500 from the UWF Student Government Association
Brian Mabelitini Presented papers to the Southeastern Archaeological Conference, the Society for Historical Archaeology, and the Kentucky Heritage Council Conference. Published an article in 2010 Advisory Council for Underwater Archaeology Proceedings.
Andy Marr Received $400 grant from the Pensacola Archaeological Society.
Jennifer Melcher Presented papers and entered student paper competitions at the Florida Anthropological Society Annual Meeting and the Southeastern Archaeological Conference
Elizabeth Murphy Presented a paper to Gulf South History and Humanities Conference
Matthew Napolitano Received $5,469.70 grant from the American Museum of Natural History. Received $1000 from the UWF Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee. Invited participant for the 5th Annual Caldwell Conference: Seasonality and Mobility on the Georgia Bight: Methodologies and Substantive Applications, St. Catherines Island, Georgia.
Wesley Perrine Presented poster at the Society for Historical Conference. Presented a paper at the Northeast Maritime History Symposium. Received a travel grant from the Pensacola Archaeological Society.
Siska Williams Received the Pat and Hal Marcus Fellowship
