Robert Taylor

Robert Taylor received his B.A. in anthropology from the University of West Florida in 2009. Since then he has worked as a field and lab technician on a plethora of terrestrial research and CRM projects for the University of West Florida, the University of South Alabama, Southeast Archaeological Research Inc. (SEARCH), and the National Park Service's Southeast Archeological Center (SEAC). The projects he has worked on span most of the known occupation of the Southeastern United States; from the coastal Archaic to early 20th century farmsteads of the interior. His thesis research topic is on an intact Late Archaic site located in downtown Pensacola known as the Downtown Technical Campus. He is most interested in ethnicity/social identity and the dialectic of power/resistance in the Archaic Southeast.

When not pontificating the deep past, he likes to obsess over obscure music recorded on dead formats, being a dad, and playing guitar/mandolin in the collective known as "Geronimo!"

Degree and focus: Prehistoric Archaeology, Terrestrial.
