Jennifer Knutson

Jen Knutson graduated from the University of North Florida with a major in Anthropology and minors in French and Spanish. While seeking a master's degree in Historical Archaeology at UWF, she is focused on French colonization of the southeast. She has received scholarships to study 16th century Spanish and French documents at the John Carter Brown Library of Brown University and also the Bibliotheque nationale de France and the Archives nationales de France in Paris. During her senior year, she interned with the Florida Public Archaeology Network, Northeast Region. She also served for a year as the volunteer S.T.E.M. program facilitator for Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Inc. Her other interests include Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Public Archaeology, and Southeastern Indians. She was a co-presenter for the 2013 FAS conference Panel Discussion on Academic and Public Sector Issues in Florida Anthropology: Teaching, Working, and Serving.
