Colin Keohane

Colin Keohane received his B.A. in anthropology from the University of West Florida. As a maritime anthropologist, his interests include Icelandic culture and literature during the Sturlungaöld, the ship as a symbol in image, text, and artifact among the medieval seafaring communities of the North Atlantic, and anthropology in the media. Colin's current research explores the nautical vocabulary of fourteenth-century English poet John Gower's Confessio Amantis within the context of London's maritime networks. He also appears as the presenter of the UWF anthropology and archaeology field school web series
