Familiarize yourself with your degree requirements and develop a list of potential classes that will help you achieve them. You will find information related to degree planning on the Degree Planning tab. Always consult with an academic advisor before registering for classes.
If you have transferred to UWF with fewer than 30 semesters hours of credit or this is your first time in college, you MUST attend Orientation. The activities of Orientation include your initial advising and registration for classes.
You will be able to use the online registration system in future semesters, including adding and dropping classes. Transfer students may use online registration after an initial meeting with an academic advisor. If an advising hold is in place, you will not be able to register without seeing an academic advisor. Although you may register without consulting an advisor, that course of action may not be in your best interest. Consider verifying that your plan is a good one with your advisor to save time and money. See the Navigation Guide for registration instructions.
The registration dates for the academic year are located on the university's Academic Calendar. Registration occurs by classification (senior, junior, sophomore, or freshman) unless you are identified in a special population such as Honors, Student Success Programs, registered with the Student Disability Resource Center, or an athlete. If you are assigned to one of the special populations, you will receive priority registration.
After your initial registration for a semester, you may drop and add classes to your schedule through the end of the first week of the semester. After this period of time, also referred to as "add/drop", you must withdraw from a class to be removed from the course. If you simply stop going to class, you are not automatically withdrawn from the course, so it is very important that you complete the withdrawal process. You may withdraw from a course beginning with week two of the Fall and Spring semesters through the end of the tenth week of the semester. For summer withdrawal dates, please see the Academic Calendar.
