"Getting Started" Checklist
Here is the roster of things you need to do to complete your matriculation (formal enrollment) at UWF:
- Register for Orientation and Advising Session
Orientation is required for all Freshmen and First-Time-in-College students. The session is designed to introduce you to the University community and confirm why you made a wise choice in UWF. Registration for Orientation is done on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register as early as possible in your MYUWF account in the Orientation Registration section.
If you are a parent who would like to attend Orientation with your student, you are invited to register for the optional Parent Orientation session at the same time your student registers.
- Activate your MYUWF account
As a new UWF student, you will need to activate your online student account which provides access to your personal information, email account, and other relevant student services information. You will activate your ArgoNet account information to gain access to your MYUWF account during the New Student Orientation program. Your Argonet account will provide you with the security information needed to access your MYUWF account.
How to activate your MyUWF account
- After you activate your MYUWF account, please activate your email account.
You will find your log in information on the UWF Google Site.

If you have earned any college credits at any other institution (including dual enrollment), please have a final transcript sent to the Undergraduate Admissions Office as soon as your grades have been posted.
Once the Undergraduate Admissions Office has evaluated your transfer work, you can access your degree audit to determine how the courses fit into your degree program. If your transfer work has not been added to your degree audit prior to your Orientation session, please bring unofficial copies of your college transcripts to help with planning your schedule.
- Check out housing information
If you have applied for housing, a letter with housing assignments will be mailed beginning xxxx. For additional housing information such as information on the housing living options, reasons to live on campus, and rental rates, please visit the Housing website.
- Submit your immunization records
All students must submit official copies of their immunization records to the Health Center. Please consult the Health Center website for specific requirements. All immunization holds must be cleared prior to attending Orientation.
