There are several ways that your organization can use Career Services to recruit capable qualified UWF students/alumni to fill your staffing needs.
(A) JasonQuest-Online Job Listings
JasonQuest is an online database system containing student and employer profiles. JasonQuest allows employers to post positions (full-time, part-time, seasonal, internships, Cooperative education), schedule on-campus interviews, and register for important career events. Open positions will only be posted through our JasonQuest system and are available to students/alumni 24 hours a day. Resumes can be received via your JasonQuest account or sent to your e-mail. Registration and postings are absolutely free! JasonQuest may be accessed through our website uwf.edu/career (click on “Employer Login”).
*Once you create your profile, Career Services will activate your account so you can post jobs and register for events. Accounts are activated throughout our regular business hours M-F, 8-5pm central time.
(B) On-Campus Interviewing
An interview day is held each Fall and Spring semester the day following the Career Fair and Summer Job Co-Op and Internship Fair. The price is included in the charge for the events. If you elect to participate in the Interview Day, you will be responsible for filling your schedule during the fair. At the end of the day your completed schedule should be turned in to a Career Services representative.
Another way to interview on-campus is to set up an interview date. To do so, contact Nathan Ford (850) 474-2254 or nford@uwf.edu. Submit an updated position description and be sure to indicate all of the minimum criteria for the position, including work authorization status. Please note that a minimum of 10 business days is required to set up your interview dates in order to effectively market your visit to students/alumni. On-campus interview schedules may be set up as an open schedule meaning every student who applied for the position will be granted an interview slot, or as a pre-select schedule in which the employer will decide who will interview from the pool of applicants.
We highly encourage you to explore conducting an Information Session prior to your interview date and ask about other on-campus marketing opportunities. If you already have marketing materials please send them to Career Services upon making your reservation. Information about local accommodations and other logistics will be provided at the time of your registration.
*If for some reason you will unable to make your reserved interview day, please contact Career Services as soon as possible.
Student Cancellation and No-Show Policy for On-Campus Interviews
Students signing up for interviews are expected to meet that commitment. Failure to do so for any reason other than a true emergency will result in the suspension of on-campus interviewing privileges. If a student misses a scheduled interview for any reason other than an emergency, they must write a letter addressed to the employer explaining the reason for his/her absence. He/She must bring the letter to Career Services for forwarding to the employer before interviewing privileges can resume.
