| Darwin, Jaine (PsyD) and Reich, Kenneth (EdD) |
| Drs. Jaine Darwin and Kenneth Reich are Co-Directors of SOFAR: Strategic Outreach to Families of all Reservists, a pro-bono project that provides support, psychotherapy, psychoeducation and prevention services to extended family of reserve and guard deployed in OEF and OIF from deployment through reintegration. Both Drs. Darwin and Reich are Clinical Instructors in Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. They are both Faculty and Supervising Analysts at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Darwin is a past president of the Division of Psychoanalysis of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Reich is President of the Psychoanalytic couple and Family Institute of New England (PCFINE). SOFAR operates under the auspices of PCFINE. They each practice psychotherapy and psychoanalysis in Cambridge, MA. |

Engel, Charles C. (MD, MPH)

| COL (Dr.) Charles Engel is Assistant Chair for Research of the Department of Psychiatry at the Uniformed Services University and the Director of Defense (DoD) Deployment Health Clinical Center at Walter Reed in Washington, DC. Dr. Engel was the 1st Cavalry Division Psychiatrist during the 1991 Gulf War and since then has served as a DoD medical advisor of post-war and mental health, particularly as it relates to post-war idiopathic physical symptoms, physical health concerns, and the improvement of post-deployment clinical services. Dr. Engel is a respected psychiatric epidemiologist and health services researcher, evaluating health system strategies for mitigating the chronic health effects of war, terrorist attack, and natural or man-made disasters. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and travels extensively to speak on topics such as mental health in primary care, idiopathic physical symptoms, post-war physical and mental health, post-traumatic stress disorder, clinical trials, clinical practice guideline development and implementation, and environmental health risk communication in primary care. Dr. Engel’s research has been funded by National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute of Aging, Centers for Disease Control, Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Notably, Dr. Engel has served as a principal investigator on three major multicenter clinical trials testing the impact of various health care improvements for military and VA health care beneficiaries. |

| French, Louis M. (PsyD) |
| Dr. Louis French received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology, focused on assessment, from the George Washington University. He completed fellowships in clinical and experimental neuropsychology at the National Institute of Mental Health and in neuropsychology, focusing on traumatic brain injury, at the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is currently the TBI Service Chief at the hospital and site director for the DVBIC at Walter Reed, where he oversees operations related to the identification and treatment of individuals with traumatic brain injury. He serves or has served on a number of federal or DoD panels on issues in traumatic brain injury, including the Army Surgeon General’s Taskforce on TBI. |

| Garrison, Sue Ann (PhD) |
| Dr. Sue Ann Garrison received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University. Following her clinical internship at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center, she remained at the facility and worked in the Sexual Trauma Treatment Center. Dr. Garrison became the director of the program for two years prior to relocating to Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Garrison is currently a staff psychologist at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health. |

| Koffman, Robert (MD, MPH) |
| A Subject Matter Expert in deployed mental health, Captain (Dr.) Robert Koffman’s dedication to improve the delivery of mental health care in operational settings is noteworthy. Staffing one of the first naval Combat Stress Centers in Operation Desert Storm seventeen years ago, Dr. Koffman has been providing behavioral health care services for Sailors and Marines in a multitude of operational settings: Mc Murdo Station, Antarctica, (Operation Deep Freeze); deployed to the Persian Gulf while embarked aboard an aircraft carrier; and most recently, the Al Anbar Province, Iraq. As a former Division Psychiatrist, Captain Koffman helped champion Combat Stress Control and Readiness (OSCAR); moreover, in the capacity as the first Combat Stress Control Consultant (I MEF) for OIF – 1, he laid the groundwork for creation of a Naval Medical COSC Consultant. As a passionate advocate for increasing access of non-stigmatizing psychological services, Dr. Koffman is the representative for the Department of the Navy Line of Action for Psychological Health. With significant experience in operational mental health (now totaling six different combat deployments), Dr. Koffman was part of the DoD/VA Blue Ribbon panel that crafted the current Acute Stress Disorder (ASD)/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Clinical Practice Guidelines. Captain Koffman demonstrates a keen interest in psychiatric epidemiology. In 2004, he co-authored a landmark study on the psychiatric sequelae of combat duty in Iraq (Hoge et. Al.). Currently, Dr. Koffman continues his research as a Navy collaborator and investigator to the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. |

Palomares, Ronald S. (PhD)

| Dr. Ronald Palomares is the Assistant Executive Director in the American Psychological Association’s Practice Directorate and heads the Policy & Advocacy in the Schools department. Dr. Palomares has presented on the topic of resilience and children for several years, having helped develop the APA Resilience in a Time of War and related materials for APA’s Public Education Campaign. In addition to his numerous regional and national presentations, Dr. Palomares has been interviewed by local and nationally syndicated radio and television stations focusing on resilience and stress. Prior to earning his doctorate in psychology from Texas A & M University, Dr. Palomares served two years in the US Army National Guard while an undergraduate and then served on active duty for four years in the US Air Force as a missile launch officer. He is currently licensed for independent practice as a psychologist. |

| Peralme, Lynne (PhD) |
| Dr. Lynne Peralme is a clinical psychologist specializing in assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in military veterans. She has worked at the Birmingham Veteran’s Center for almost twelve years where she has provided psychological services to veterans of different war eras with PTSD and to veterans with Military Sexual Trauma (MST). She is also providing bereavement counseling to families who have lost loved ones fighting the Global War on Terror. |

| Reed, Bithiah R. (PhD, ABPP ) |
| A former Navy Psychologist now with the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP), Dr. Bithiah Reed works directly with psychology interns and patients at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She also provides training in clinical and consultation skills relevant for deployment mental health. Dr. Reed received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1999. She completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda. She completed tours of duty at Naval Hospital-Keflavik, Iceland; Naval Hospital-Jacksonville, Florida; and National Naval Medical Center – Bethesda, Maryland. She was also the ship’s psychologist aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) and completed a combat deployment in 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. |
