The University of West Florida utilizes social media to spread the word about the University. This owned media is valuable for broadcasting University-wide messages and developing an ongoing narrative with various audiences. The resources available for authorized University social media administrators aid all brand ambassadors in spreading a consistent message, being a part of the institutional conversation and bolstering the UWF brand.
Developing a Social Media Platform
Only authorized representatives of UWF may create accounts for the University. If you are interested in creating a UWF social media account for your division, college, department, unit or organization, please contact Institutional Communications at email@example.com.
Promoting Information on UWF’s Primary Social Media Outlets
While we strive to share posts from many outlets across all of our channels, we invite you to submit a request for us to post directly from the main UWF social media outlets to share your message. All requests should be submitted at least one week in advance and include a link to a uwf.edu webpage with more information. We also request that you submit a photo in the format of a .GIF, .JPG or .PNG (440 x 220 pixels). Also, tag UWF’s primary social media outlets to help showcase your account.
